Michael Williams

Partner – The ENTRANCE OFFICE

Michael was born at The Entrance North and attended St Edwards College at East Gosford before completing his schooling at Wyong High. Originally keen on archaeology, he found his vocation instead via a Diploma in Law from the Solicitors Admission Board after completing the course run by the Law Extension Committee of Sydney University. Michael joined the firm in 1972 as an articled clerk from High School and became a partner in 1980. The longest serving of the partners, he shares with them a common characteristic – a long-term commitment to providing the best possible legal services to the people of the Central Coast.

Michael’s colleagues would describe him as highly organised, knowledgeable and always professional. Regarded by many as something of a legal ‘Google’, his colleagues seek him out for clarifying information, and providing swift answers to tricky or time-consuming problems. He is a trusted mentor in the firm, generously sharing his extensive experience and knowledge.

For the past 45 years Michael has acted for three generations of local families and businesses from all over the Central Coast region with their conveyancing needs involving the sale and purchase of real estate and businesses, and commercial leasing.

Clients are continually impressed with the professionalism of Nash Allen Williams & Wotton as well as their stability and longevity.

Ensuring a contract is drafted to produce an explicit result is underpinned by Michael’s ability to listen to his client; to skilfully question and draw out information and then ensure they understand what can be delivered within the current legal framework. Michael has considerable expertise in deceased estates as well as Succession Act claims (contested wills and estates) and drafting and advising on wills, enduring powers of attorney and appointments of enduring guardian.

Michael was formerly president of The Entrance Leagues Club for 16 years and was instrumental in its establishment. A keen golfer, he also loves to bushwalk having completed the Kokoda Track in 2008 and continues to participate as a member of the Brisbane Water Outdoors Club, when time permits.
