Born and raised on the Central Coast and a son of founder Ron Nash, Dominic is a pragmatic, down-to-earth solicitor with particular expertise in family law.
Dominic is a son of Ron Nash, who established the practice in 1957. He was born at Long Jetty hospital, spent his childhood at Shelly Beach, attended St Edwards in East Gosford and completed his secondary schooling at St Josephs in Hunters Hill. He joined the firm as a law clerk more than 30 years ago, completed his Diploma in Law through the Legal Profession Admission Board in 1994, and became a partner in 2002. His colleagues describe him as adaptable, thorough and supportive.
A typical month for Dominic might include helping clients buy or sell real estate, preparing and witnessing estate planning documents, establishing a family trust, managing an injury claim or representing a business in court. Pragmatic, careful and down to earth, he works to a clear roadmap for each matter - thinking strategically while keeping his client's needs, budget and circumstances front of mind.
Dominic has particular expertise in family law, giving professional and discreet advice on divorce, division of property, ongoing care arrangements for children, child support, spousal maintenance and intervention orders. He knows how confusing and frustrating family law can feel, and he brings a deep knowledge of family law, litigation and the Family Court to supporting local clients and families through stressful times.
He is a member of the NSW Law Society, the Central Coast Law Society and the Hunter Valley Family Law Practitioners Association, as well as Surf Life Saving Australia - he has run the Nippers surf education program at Catherine Hill Bay Surf Club for some years. When he isn't chasing after his four children, he enjoys mountain bike riding, rugby, cricket and piano.
